Trailblaze Maps (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Trailblaze app and website, including all related content, features, products and services, to provide you with offline trail maps for South Africa (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use the Services or communicate with us.

Personal information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details such as your name, billing address, phone number and email address.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, PayFast. We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers; PayFast handles the transaction and confirms the result to us.
- Account information such as your email, and the maps you have purchased.
- Transaction information such as the maps you view, add to cart or purchase.
- Communications you send us, for example a support request.
- Device and usage information such as your device, browser, IP address and how you interact with the Services. On-device data (your downloaded maps and location) stays on your device and is not sent to us.
How we collect it
- Directly from you when you buy a map, create an account, or contact us.
- Automatically through the Services and our hosting/analytics providers.
- From our service providers (for example PayFast for payments).
How we use your information
- Provide the Services — process your payment, fulfil your order, give you access to and updates for the maps you buy, manage your account and provide support.
- Marketing — where you have opted in, send you news and offers by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
- Security and fraud prevention — authenticate your account and keep payments secure.
- Legal reasons — comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.
How we disclose information

- Service providers who work on our behalf (payment processing by PayFast, hosting, email delivery, analytics and support).
- Authorities where required to comply with the law or to protect our rights and users.

Your maps and location
Downloaded maps are stored on your device so they work offline. Location, when you enable it, is used on your device to show where you are on the map and is not transmitted to us.

We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children
